This is going to be a regular feature on the blog, so hope you like it. Every now and then I'm gonna put up a few of my favourite things, in list form.
This time around, it's my...
TOP 5 COVER SONGS THAT ARE BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL
1. A1- Take on Me (Original- A-Ha)
How do you perfect a classic? I don't know, maybe you should ask A1. Whatever happened to those guys? I tipped them for the top- great looking fellas too. Hopefully they'll google this and get in touch.
2. I Am the Walrus- Oasis (Original- John Lennon)
Liam's leering vocals are just right for the '90s reinterpretation of this Lennon classic.
3. Teenage Kicks- Busted
As performed by the group at the Brit Awards. Just a helluvalot of energy there. Rock out! Matt from Busted is a great friend of mine...but the song gets into the top 5 on its own merit!
4. There She Goes- Sixpence None the Richer
Not a lot of people remember this little tune from the '90s. It was originally performed by a band called the LAs, which explains that West Coast type groove. The singer is hot, she can come down to the club any night of the week! LOL.
5. Always on My Mind- Pet Shop Boys.
Elvis? With a synthesiser? Nice one! I've always thought Elvis was a bit overrated myself.
